My drive to work is not that far from home, and most mornings i'm in a rush from having to get the kids off to school, and in my short 10 minute drive to work and try to relax before an 8 hour work day.
Then on my way home from work, its just another short 10 minute drive home and i'm usually thinking of all the nights activities and where I have to be, how i'm going to fit dinner in, what do the kids all have for homework tonight, is it a work night for my son or not.
In the middle, when i'm at work all day i'm never alone my brain is always working because I work the front desk, handle the phones, co-workers coming & going, deliveries, and other guests.
When I took this picture the other day, I really looked at the open road... no houses, no cars, no kids, no co-workers, no appointments. It was just me an the open road ahead of me. (it didn't last long, the open road took me home).
I realized our lives our so busy, and so involved that I need more moments like those, where we just get in the car and drive to drive -with no place to go. Or I just go home to get the kids and go to the park, or for ice cream before dinner. Sometimes our lives just get stuck in such a "scheduled routine" that we forget to acutally LIVE!
But this is what I have to come home to at the end of the day, so it is all worth it, now its just time to LIVE :)
